Christ Church of Ithaca, NY is committed to the teachings of the Holy Bible. For many years we have been spreading the gospel among our neighbors.
We value the historic creeds and confessions of our forefathers in the faith. Our reforming continues as we seek to understand what the Bible teaches for the world today. "Go ye therefore and teach all nations,” Jesus said. In obedience, we try to reach far and wide and across ethnic and social class boundaries. God is, in short, teaching us to live in community with one another.
The word "Church" refers to a group of people whom Christ “calls out” to be an extension of his Kingdom in various parts of the world. We share in Christ's victory as his church fills the earth. We are committed to growing more Christlike--loving our neighbors and loving God. We endeavor to teach the basics of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. What does losing your life for Christ's sake mean in your role as a husband?....as a mother?....as a child?....as a citizen of Ithaca?....as a Christian in today’s world?
